The first picture here was taken about a century ago. It was another 30 years before the Catholic church, "Our Lady Star of the Sea", was built. The corner of the church can be seen on the right of the second photo, taken today.
The building on the other side of Enfield Road has been, among other things, a Liberal Club, a Co-Op Furniture store, and most recently a Kentucky Fried Chicken shop. It is unoccupied at the moment.
