Leigh's - A Shop Adrift in Time

LeighsAnimUpdate
When this shop opened, in 1909, it was in what was then the busy centre of Ellesmere Port. Much of that centre was demolished to make way for the M53 motorway, but this little shop lives on, seemingly thriving.

The road straight ahead in the first photo is Station Road, with Oxford Street joining it from the right. Today, the part of Station Road that has been "orphaned" by the new Station Road that joins the M53 motorway has been renamed Oxford Street on all the maps I could find.

The photos used are from the 1960s and today.
